SAT®is offered 6 times a year - in May, June, October, November, December and January.
The registration fee for taking SAT® is USD 92 (plus USD 11.5 with essay).
The scores are available 3 weeks after the exam date.
Your SAT® score will be valid for 5 years from the date the test was taken
You can send your scores to 4 universities for free. You have to choose these 4 names at the time of registering for the SAT® till 7 days after your SAT® exam. If you want to send your scores to more universities, you may order Additional Score Reports to be sent to schools for a fee of USD 11.25 per university.
While sending Additional Score Reports to universities, you can choose the scores that you want the universities to receive.
The SAT® is just one factor among many that colleges use to get to know you better. It is a part of a comprehensive admission process that also takes into account your high school academics, extracurricular activities, recommendations, personal essay and other factors. Every college and university uses a different combination of criteria for admission.In addition to the general SAT®, a few top universities in the US also require SAT® Subject tests.
